Eight more arrests made in London counter terrorism probe linked to suspected arson plot

Officers from Counter Terrorism Policing London have made eight further arrests as part of an ongoing investigation into a series of incidents including suspected arson attacks across London. A separate but connected development saw a 39 year old man arrested in Ealing under terrorism legislation in relation to an earlier incident in Kensington Gardens. The arrest followed the discovery of containers holding a non hazardous substance in the park, prompting further inquiries by counter terrorism officers. Police confirmed that searches remain ongoing at a property in east London as part of efforts to determine whether there are links between the various incidents under investigation.

The broader inquiry has expanded significantly in recent weeks, with authorities confirming that a total of 23 individuals have now been arrested since an earlier incident involving damage to emergency vehicles in Golders Green. Several suspects have already been charged with offences related to arson, while others remain under investigation.
