Family Pays Tribute After Teen Stabbed in Feltham

The family of an 18 year old teenager who was fatally stabbed in west London have described him as a funny, kind and caring young man whose death has left them devastated. Maliki Sharma died in hospital after suffering multiple stab wounds during an attack on Victoria Road in Feltham on Monday afternoon. In a statement released through a family friend, relatives said he was a loving son and brother who had his whole life ahead of him. Those close to him spoke of a young man with a warm personality and a close bond with his family, particularly his mother. The attack has shocked the local community and renewed concerns about knife crime involving young people in London. Police were called to the scene following reports of a serious assault, and despite emergency treatment, Maliki later died from his injuries.
Maliki was studying at West Thames College, where he was training to become an electrician. According to the family friend, he was determined to build a stable future through learning a trade and hoped one day to run his own business. Those who knew him said he was motivated and spoke often about wanting to support his mother through his work. Friends and relatives described him as cheeky and good humoured, with an ability to make people laugh even in difficult moments. They said his ambition and positive outlook made his death especially hard to accept. The family friend added that Maliki was deeply loved within his household and that his loss has left an enormous void for those closest to him.
In the days following his death, members of the community have come together to support the grieving family. A crowdfunding page was launched to help with funeral costs and other expenses, raising more than twelve thousand pounds within a short period. The family friend said the response had been overwhelming and heart warming, showing how many lives Maliki had touched. He spoke emotionally about Maliki’s mother, describing her as devoted to her sons and now struggling to cope with the loss. Neighbours and classmates have also expressed their sadness, with many laying flowers near the scene of the attack as a mark of respect. The incident has prompted renewed calls from residents for action to address violence affecting young people.
Police have confirmed that two 16 year old boys were arrested earlier this week on suspicion of murder and possession of an offensive weapon in connection with the stabbing. They have since been released on bail while inquiries continue. Metropolitan Police Service said investigations are ongoing and urged anyone with information to come forward. Detectives are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the attack as they work to establish what led to the fatal incident. The case has once again highlighted the impact of knife crime on families and communities across London, with local leaders urging cooperation with police to help bring those responsible to justice.
