Three Arrested After Arson Attempt at Persian Media Offices in London

Police have arrested three individuals following an attempted arson attack on a media building in London. The incident targeted the offices of Volant Media, the parent company of Persian language broadcaster Iran International, raising concerns about security at media organizations.
According to the Metropolitan Police, an ignited container was thrown toward the building in Wembley at around 20:30 BST. The device landed in the car park and the fire quickly extinguished, with no injuries or damage reported. Authorities responded swiftly, launching an investigation and search for those involved.
Officers later pursued a black SUV believed to be connected to the incident, leading to the arrest of a 16 year old boy and two men aged 19 and 21. The vehicle crashed during the chase on Ballards Lane, after which all three suspects were taken into custody on suspicion of arson endangering life.
Police have stated that the incident is not currently being treated as terrorism and does not appear to be linked to other recent arson attacks in north London. As a precaution, nearby buildings were briefly evacuated before being reopened once officials confirmed there was no wider threat to the public.
Investigations are ongoing as authorities work to establish the full circumstances behind the attack. The case highlights concerns around the safety of media institutions and the need for continued vigilance in urban areas.
